Located less than 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of town
An unpretentious and simple offering in the heart of the wild west. Queenstown, no not in New Zealand rather in the far reaches of remote Tasmania. We are not fancy, google thinks we are 2 stars. We would say 3. Think a cheap Air BNB.
There is no valet parking, but you can park at your door.
There is no onsite fancy restaurant but you can wander a few hundred metres down the road and get an epic parmi from the pub.
Social and fun
Here at the Mountain View Motel, you can expect a laid back slow pace, we are easy-going and enjoy a chat!
We are a simple offering, but an essential one. Clean, Dry and ready to give you the recharge you need to keep your adventure going.

There's plenty for the curious visitor to do, from an underground mine tour and local history museum to walks in the nearby wilderness, where you can discover scenic lookouts, waterfalls and relics of the old mining days - or simply stroll the unique streetscapes of the city centre.
Queenstown is also home to the historic West Coast Wilderness Railway, unique heritage and wilderness experience that runs full and half-day steam train journeys along a historic 35km track.
