Positive: great location, huge palatial building, air con in room, staff are quite nice, double beds in the dorms ( interesting! Never seen that before!) Negative: no lockers at all, front door frequently unattended and the gate left open, a very underwhelming breakfast, plastic coating on the mattress that creaks when you move, no top sheet provided: only a blanket ( yuck!), Plenty of space to charge a phone but not necessarily near bed so unsafe again, incredibly expensive laundry service.
This was a very mellow hostel and had much more reserved guests. The breakfast they served was a great way to start the day. The staff were friendly, but didn't offer any excessive services or advice. I felt very much on my own and had to fend for myself. The hostel is just far enough from the center where I felt I needed to take a taxi home each night. They also locked the outside gate every night, and I was locked out two nights for almost 30 minutes. I had to call their number to get in.
