It has a great atmosphere filled with students from the nearby Université Lumière Lyon 2 and is right next to Rhône river which is just 300 metres away. You can get to Saint Exupéry airport via the RhôneXpress from the Part Dieu station: train departures are every 15 minutes and it takes only 29 minutes journey time.

Nous avons passé un agréable moment au sein de l’hôtel où nous avons pu profiter du bar et de l’espace détente où nous avons joué aux fléchettes. La chambre était accueillante et nous avons passé une très bonne nuit.
Bien située, à proximité des transports publics. Pas de joli point de vue et on entend le trafic de trains la nuit, si les fenêtres sont ouvertes. Chambres bien insonorisées.

L'hôtel Meininger offre un excellent rapport qualité prix. Bon accueil, bonnes prestations: cuisine commune bien équipée et propre, chambre spacieuse et confortable, bien insonorisée. Petit bémol: le bar était fermé pendant nos 3 jours de présence.
4 personnes à l'accueil mais une seule s'occupant des clients. Conséquence: a minima 10 minutes d'attente pour récupérer ma clé après un long voyage fatigant. J'aspirais à mieux, beaucoup mieux. J'aurais aussi apprécié avoir accès à un petit-déjeuner / buffet avant de quitter l'auberge le matin mais il était trop tôt j'ai donc eu droit à un café assez infâme.
