The Roma Scout Center is near the historical centre, close to the University of Rome La Sapienza, in an area with full amenities.
If you like walking, you can go to Villa Torlonia, a park where you can find also some exhibitions and cultural events.

The area is full of Italian/Rome university students. The evenings/coffee shops feel vibrant and full of locals. The common areas in the Hostel are not very conducive to just hanging out tho, they're a little bare and cold.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. Big breakfast. No kitchen available for using though. A bit far out of the way and not walkable to the main attractions so I wasted a lot of time on the metro.
