Located in the very heart of Central London situated directly opposite the British Museum you are a short walk from iconic attractions like Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden.
It doesn’t matter if you are shopping down the legendary Oxford Street, watching a play in Leicester Square’s world-famous theatre district, having dinner in China Town, drinks in Soho, or partying in the West End you are always a short walk home to a nice and quiet street in an amazing neighbourhood!
There is no Curfew, the hostel is open and ready 24 hours a day
Key Card: You will be required to give us a £5 key deposit for your room access card at check-in time.

Good to know
Astor Hostels was started in 1974, the most established hostel group in London when only the official youth hostel group was in Operation. We only operate in London and our staff know the city so well they can always give great recommendations on things to do!
Please note : 'Buget' room types allows access to all of our amazing facilities! However, the building is located (1 min) away from the main building, if you need anything there is a direct line which will connect you to the front desk.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.
No guests under 18 or over 40, and you must provide a valid ID
Proof of identification must be shown on arrival and can include a passport, driving license and national identity cards. We cannot accept paper driving licences, student, or employee IDs as proof of identity and failure to show proof or a copy upon arrival will result in the cancellation of a reservation without a refund.
Reservations must be made for guests over the age of 18.
Any reservations made for those under the minimum age will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.
The hostel organises daily events aimed at backpackers between the ages of 18-30, it is therefore suggested that guests under the age of 40 would enjoy the hostel the most.

Nous n'y sommes restés que 3 nuits mais cela nous a suffit pour nous rendre compte d'à quel point cette auberge est bien placée, bien équipée (les salles de bains et toilettes sont nickel), et chaleureuse, avec notamment un espace Netflix and Chill, super pour rencontrer des gens.
Fais vraiment l’affaire, l’emplacement est vraiment bien et le prix est assez bas. Je recommande!
Douche un peu moins propre en bas que en haut mais, largement suffisant, personnel très agréable et lit confortable
Dortoirs de 20 lits superposés mixtes avec des personnes de tout âge. Une sympathique expérience. Les gens que nous avions croisés que ce soit dans notre dortoir ou dans l'auberge sont sympathiques. L'auberge de jeunesse à notre arrivée et de départ était propre. Bon accueil et le personnel sympathique aussi. Par contre le couloir pour aller à la réception est petit, ce qui peut rendre difficile de circuler avec les valises (selon horaire à laquelle on arrive).
Très bien placée. Le petit déjeuner au top mais le confort est très sommaire. Les murs donnant sur la rue sont très fins. On entendait les gens chuchoter dehors. Trop bruyant pour ma part. Le gros point fort c'est que depuis ce lieu tous les lieux endémiques de Londres sont accessibles à pied.
