One of the original & oldest NYC hostels, we opened our doors in 1993.
We love our neighbourhood which boasts a variety of bars, restaurants and shops while being a quick walk or subway ride away from all major attractions from the High Line to Central Park.
Large outdoor shared courtyard. Dining area with television.
We have a fully equipped kitchen facility for all guests too.

Chelsea is a prime location in the heart of Manhattan, sitting between Midtown and West Village.
Because the Chelsea International Hostel is served by several subway lines (A, C, E, F, 1, 2, 3), you are just a few minutes away from anywhere in the city.
The neighbourhood of Chelsea is a cultured-filled area, with numerous art galleries, stores, restaurants and the Gansevoort Market and Gotham Comedy Club.
Madison Square Garden -15 min walk.
LaGuardia Airport, 16 km
Empire State Building - 2km.

Good to know
As the largest independent New York hostel, Chelsea International is maintained 24 hours a day by highly motivated staff. The front desk team is comprised of real locals familiar with all 5 boroughs of New York City.
There is no curfew, but common areas are closed from 8 PM to 8 AM, including kitchen, courtyard & the lounge.

In times of uncertainty and your peace of mind, we recommend you select a flexible rate with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can always cancel free of charge until the cancellation expires.
You must have a valid passport or government-issued identification to check-in. Photocopies will not be accepted. NYS IDs are not accepted.
You must be at least 18 to stay in our Hostel.
You will need to bring your own padlock to use the lockers.
The maximum stay in our hostel is 14 nights in any given 30 days.

Auberge très agréable, idéalement située, super accueil !!
Ne pas avoir de grosse valise ou demander une chambre au premier étage maximum ;-) . Sinon rien a redire, le séjour était très bien et l'auberge est idéalement située dans Manhattan. Prévoir bouchons d'oreilles pour un meilleur sommeil ^^
Très bien placée
L'auberge est un peu vétuste mais c'est propre et fonctionnel Si c'est pour dormir, c'est parfait. La chasse d'eau était cassé et j'ai payé plus que prévu car j'ai du repayer l'avance que j'avais donné ce que je trouve plus que moyen
Les lits sont confortables mais l'ensemble de l'auberge est peu confortable et peu fonctionnelle notamment au niveau de la cuisine. Le wifi fonctionne une fois sur deux. Et la salle de bain n'est pas toujours très propre et peu pratique.
