Rafiki Backpackers & Guesthouse was founded in 2012 as a hostel and before had been operating as a volunteer house. In summer 2015 we finished building a new compound, which hosts our individual travellers, while our annex can be the home for groups and long stay travellers.

Nice views of Kilimanjaro from the rooftop.

The staff were really helpful and help you organize your transportation and tours making sure that they do not charge you more than what's necessary. There is so much to see around here.

Clean and quiet

The hostel is located outside the city center although it's not far so you can really enjoy the tranquility that nature has to offer. There is also a bar for eating, drinking and relaxing in the evenings. The breakfast has different choices which was nice.
