Castle Rock Hostel

Cette auberge de jeunesse est vraiment bien placée dans le centre d'Edimbourg nous avons pu tout faire à pied pendant notre séjour de 4 jours. Toute l'équipe est top, les chambres sont clean ainsi que les salles de bain. La cuisine partagée est très utile vous pouvez ranger vos courses et elle est très bien équipée vous ne manquerez de rien. Animations proposées tous les soirs

J'ai passé une semaine top dans l'auberge qui est conviviale et très bien placée. Les salons sont agréables, les chambres sont très biens et on peut y travailler pour l'auberge 14h par semaine si on y reste minimum un mois. Ce qui permet de payer les nuits à chaque fois. L'auberge organise aussi des activités tous les jours, des soirées, beer pong, pub crawl, cinéma...

J'y ai passé une nuit, c'était parfait. Le lieu est très agréable, grande cuisine, salons. La localisation est juste parfaite.

J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette auberge. L'emplacement est parfait, le personnel est accueillant et à l'écoute. Les soirées proposées permettent de rencontrer des voyageurs. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. Des casiers permettent de ranger les affaires et la literie est confortable.

Auberge bien équipée (prises à chaque lit, casiers que l’on peut fermer à clé, lits confortables), bien situé (vue sur le château), personnel réactif, les salles communes sont propres et bien aménagées. Le petit déjeuner est pas cher (2,50£) et bon. Pourrait être amélioré avec un ajout de rideau au niveau des lits pour plus d’espace privé et d’intimité. Je recommande vivement cette auberge.

Las instalaciones están muy bien, el albergue es acogedor y tiene de todo lo que necesitas. La ubicación es ideal! La opción del desayuno por £2.50 está genial Los chicos de recepción fueron muy amables con nosotras y nos ayudaron a organizar nuestra ruta por las Highlands

In France unexpensive hostel means sad and dull environment (e.g. hotels Formule 1) but here in Scotland they are actually fun and cheerful!

Convivial et chaleureux

L’endroit est magnifique! Les employé.es et les client.es sont toustes gentil.les! Les chambres sont grandes et bien aménagées. L’endroit est nettoyé deux fois par jour. Wow!

Me and my cousin stayed in Castle Rock Hostel for 3 nights and it was a good place with great decoration and cool people.

Auberge située près du chateau et au coeur d'Edimbourg, endroit super jolie et cosy !

Je ne peux en dire que du bien ! Magnifique environnement prit d'assaut par des artistes qui l'on décoré a souhait ! Prix abordable ... Personnel, vraiment sympa et ouvert !!!! Je ne vois aucun défaut ! Seul le regret de ne pas m' etre arrêter plus longtemps me turlupine c'est pas plus belle expérience en auberge de jeunesse !

Auberge agréable, conviviale, très bien située.

L'auberge est superbe! L'emplacement est parfaite (central, vue exceptionnelle). Petits bémols : les toilettes sont fermées en plein milieu de la journée, les employés qui font le ménage sont extrêmement bruyants même si certains occupants dormaient.

Cette auberge est vraiment immense avec plusieurs salons,cuisines... Mais elle reste néanmoins très conviviale où il fait bon vivre ! J'ai vraiment adoré passer mes soirées là bas à lire dans le salon, jouer de la guitare ou au billard...De plus il y a pleins de soirées organisées où l'on peut rencontrer des gens et si l'on veut rester seul c'est totalement possible aussi !!

J'ai passé un très bon séjour dans cette auberge chaleureuse et plus que confortable. Les activités organisées tous les soirs du lundi au samedi permettent de rencontrer les autres voyageurs, bref je recommande à 100% !

Très belle auberge, très bien située (littéralement au pied du château), à une minute à pied de la Royal Mile, et le tout, vraiment pas cher ! Bonne ambiance, il y a des activités proposées quasiment tous les soirs, le personnel est accessible et adorable, et les lieux sont propres ! Le tout est dans un style médiéval, quasiment château fort pour l'entrée, puis chaque chambre/dortoir à son thème, j'adore ! J'ai réservé une chambre pour filles, et même si nous étions 12, tout était propre, silencieux et respectueux, franchement je suis ravie ! Je recommande les yeux fermés !

The most perfect hostel I've ever been! I was traveling with my parents and a bit worried if they would mind staying in a hostel, which is a bit informal sometimes. But they simply loved it. The decoration, the friendliness of the staff, the facilities, even our room in the last floor though we had some luggage. Great stay!!

Loved staying at Castle Rock. The staff were so friendly and on the door 24 hours so no worries if you need help at any time. Daily suggestions of what's good to do in the city as well as some entertainment for stayers. Party atmosphere available, but if it's not your thing there are heaps of spaces to relax. Would stay again

The location is too good to be true. The character of the property is amazing. You have to stay here if you are staying at a hostel.

Nice location, quite near the Castle, and has a big kitchen with all the facilities , people there are really friendly, the common places are spacious and beautifully decorated.

Best hostel in town. Fantastic location right besides the castle. The staff is very helpful, friendly and imaginative in giving travel advice. Great discount at local pubs too.

Super Hostel, mitten in der City

Hands down best hostel in Edinburgh. I regret that we could only stay one night! It was booked full the second night so we moved to another hostel and it was just not the same.

Really central location and really kind people

A stay that full with character is a super amazing experience!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times. I had a major issue with my mattress, it was so thin I woke up in a LOT of pain every day. After the second night, I reported it and asked for a second mattress. Turns out my mattress was so thin they had to throw it away!

Amazing location, great facilities and fun atmosphere!

The location is really cool, right opposite the castle, and it is set up to look a bit castle-like with a knight's costume set up in the corridor. All the rooms have a theme as well with the beds named after the theme. There is a locker under the bed with an additional "safe" compartment

Staff, building, location, atmosphere, facilities, breakfast, free coffee and milk, everything is great in this hostel! I definitely recommend it as one of the best hostel you could stay at! And I have been at many..

Castle Rock was an excellent hostel, the location is great especially if you are visiting for the fringe festival. There is a large kitchen with a number of fridges so there is plenty of room for your food. The rooms are all very well kept and the beds are clean and comfortable, I was staying in a 16 bed dorm however the rooms are set up to still allow you some privacy which was great. The showers and bathrooms are regularly cleaned and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Castle Rock is definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in.

The hostel is very well located and we loved its athmosphere. It has different common areas, some to chill out and some to socialise. There are also some activities organised within the hostel (language exchange, games..). The views from the dinning room are amazing, it was very pleasant chilling out there with a coffee! I would deffinitely recommend it!
