It was great ! Very comfortable and close to the Train Station :) Extremely satisfied with my stay !
From the entrance a feeling that you are the closest friend of this very kind Family. You forget that you are just random tourist in big Bucharest city. It is not a hotel, neither hostel, neither guest house. It is a home when you are far away from home. Home made (by bio-products) free breakfast can last until late afternoon. I recommend for those travelers who is looking for "time-out" from city rush in a city center. Thank you very much for those magic moments in Bucharest, Greetings from Russia
frendly and helpful staff, nice quiet room, cozy atmosphere
This place is close to the main railway station, therefore convenient for onward travel, buying tickets, snacks, taxis etc. It's easy to find. Hosts Deborah and Stefan are friendly and knowledgeable about Bucharest and places to visit. It's a beautiful old house full of interesting antique furniture & books.
The location is just a few minutes walk from the train station and easy to find following the directions given in the description here. I could make the walk easily even with my large, heavy suitcase. Despite the central location, it was quiet at night. The owners were friendly and very helpful in advising me on how to solve a problem I had with my bank card while I was there. (It was my first time staying in Romania.) They served an excellent home-made pancake breakfast, too!
Original villa building, nice family staff, close to railway station but a bit far from centre. Amazing breakfast.
The directions were excellant from the train station. Debbie and her whole family were wonderful. The breakfast was the best I have had at any hostel. They wrote down directions for the bus. They took my bags up and down the steep stairs.
Quirky
The hostel is a short walk from Gara de Nord which is helpful if you are taking trains during your trip, and it often feels like you are staying in a family home along with birds and cats which you might appreciate if you are looking for something different from the average forgettable hostel.
The friendliness of the proprietess. Accommodating attitude to late departure,
It was in a really unique house, and the owner Deborah shared very interesting stories. Also our laundry was done complimentary, and breakfast was fresh with home made goodies. Easy to find, close to metro and main train station, great location.
The bed and bathroom were clean, and the bed comfortable. The family running it were friendly, when you could find them.
absolutely marvellous welcome, great atmosphere, very helpful knowledgeable and kind owner. Very generous spread of food and tea put out for welcome arrival, able to help self to food and drinks through visit. Authentic interesting old family home with lovely atmosphere
